Monaco Hosts 5th PropTech Symposium: AI and the Future of Real Estate

The fifth annual PropTech Symposium took place on March 10, 2025, under the patronage of the Prince’s Government, in collaboration with the Monaco Economic Board (MEB), ESCP Business School, and leading industry organizations. This prestigious event brought together top experts from real estate and technology to examine the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the sector. Among the notable attendees was Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of State.

PropTech: Reinventing the Future of Real Estate

Organized by the Digital Economy Unit, a branch of the Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition, the symposium provided an in-depth look at the latest innovations, emerging economic models, and the strategic role of AI in real estate.

A pre-event networking session gave 30 selected investors and experts from Monaco an exclusive opportunity to connect with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and panellists. This session was organized in partnership with the Government Attractiveness Department and Monaco Private Label network.

Expert Insights on AI and Real Estate

The symposium opened with a keynote by Dominique Alba, Managing Director of Ateliers Jean Nouvel, who explored the role of AI in architectural and urban design. This was followed by panel discussions featuring industry leaders:

  • Ana Lozano Portillo, Managing Director, Nidus Lab – The role of automation and generative AI in real estate design.
  • Brice Vandevoorde, Managing Director, Realiz – How tokenization and AI are reshaping economic models.
  • Jaime Luque, Professor, ESCP Business School – Analyzing market trends and the impact of technology on real estate.
  • Anas Bataw, Partner, Zacua Ventures & Consultant for Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund ($937B in assets) – Leveraging AI to enhance urban sustainability and productivity.

The discussions were moderated by Thierry Cherel, Director of Natixis CIB Research, and hosted by Geneviève Berti, Director of Communication for the Prince’s Government.

A Strong Partnership for Academic Excellence

Since 2019, the Government of Monaco and ESCP Business School have been collaborating through the Real Estate Tech Chair, inaugurated in Paris by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince. One of its key initiatives, the PropTech Global Trends Barometer, has become an essential benchmark for real estate technologies. The 2024 edition, launched during this symposium, is now available on the Monaco for Businesses website.
