Loulou Pirate is Ready to Delight Its Visitors Again This Summer Season
Loulou Group’s legendary restaurant Le Pirate has enjoyed a great summer season after its reopening last July. After a hugely successful season last year, it’s ready to shine again.
Le Pirate is an enchanting seaside restaurant, offering the most delicious Mediterranean, Italian and Provencal dishes. It’s located amongst the impressive cliffs of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin between Monaco and Menton. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the venue provides a breathtaking atmosphere of beauty and mystery.
The restaurant was first opened when in the 1960s, the owner of the restaurant, Charles Robert Viale, transformed a local fisherman’s hut that was barely holding onto the rocks at the seaside into the ultimate summer destination that has over the years hosted some of the biggest celebrities and famous people in the world, such as: Brigitte Bardot, Frank Sinatra and even King Charles.
Over the years the restaurant has fallen in popularity and in use and was revived again last year. Now fourteen years on, Le Pirate still keeps shining, impressing and providing the best food, service and atmosphere to its guests. The Loulou Group has bought the restaurant and really breathed a new life into it, bringing their iconic values of elegance, simplicity and joie de vivre in the smallest details from its decorations and atmosphere to its delectable menu and live music.

The exquisite taste of Tagliatelle à la truffe grilled prawns, and the refreshing cucumber salad with avocado, feta cheese, coriander, linseeds, baby gem lettuce, and citrus are absolutely worth trying. The stunning views surrounding it all invite visitors and keep them coming back for more. It truly brings the essence of summer alive.
This year the restaurant welcomed its guests in once again on the 8th of May, adding new and more refreshing dishes to its menu. Some of its ultimate highlights this year are fish of the day and Fresh strawberries dessert with raspberries and cherries, lemon light cream and verbena.
Looking over the mesmerising waters of the Mediterranean Sea, The Pirate makes for a beautiful feature of the local scenery, bringing to mind a scene from a classic Dolce Vita-era film. Its seaside location, live music and the nautical motifs adorning its walls, the breeze from the sea and the most delicious food offered by the restaurant, all give it the perfect ambience for enjoying the best the local cuisine has to offer, dancing through the night or simply relaxing among the pines and the sea.
The venue offers a varied range of sections, ranging from intimate seats for family and friends, tables closest to the sea and places with the best views on it. And any table at the restaurant will provide a fresh Mediterranean breeze that gives the perfect refuge from the summertime heat.
Everything about Le Pirate, from its enchanting seaside views and natural surroundings, its mouthwatering and refreshing cuisine to its interiors and comfortable seating, makes a recipe for the summertime restaurant to go to.
