Monaco Yacht Show 2025: Immersion into the Future of Superyachting
The 2025 Monaco Yacht Show once again set the global benchmark for luxury yachting, offering an immersive experience that brought together the entire superyacht ecosystem. From the unveiling of next-generation yachts and tenders to the debut of sustainable innovations, thematic exhibition areas, and strategic forums, the show reaffirmed its status as the must-attend event for industry leaders, private clients, and enthusiasts.
An Experience Designed Around the Visitor
This year’s edition placed the visitor experience at the very heart of the event. The exclusive opening day, reserved for invited guests, offered private clients a privileged journey along the quays of Port Hercule to discover the world’s most prestigious yachts and tenders. Attendees engaged directly with shipyards, designers, brokers, naval architects, and specialist suppliers while exploring the latest innovations and sustainable solutions shaping tomorrow’s yachting.
Blue Wake™: Sustainability Takes Center Stage
A defining moment of MYS 2025 was the launch of Blue Wake™, a pioneering programme dedicated to sustainable yachting. Developed with the Water Revolution Foundation, it featured 59 carefully selected exhibitors presenting eco-responsible solutions ranging from hydrogen propulsion and alternative fuels to recyclable materials and circular construction practices.
The initiative’s highlight came during the Blue Wake Awards, presented at the Grand Opening Night. Winners included:
-
TYKUN – hydrogen propulsion
-
Tai Ping – biodegradable carpets
-
Deasyl – low-carbon fuel
-
Sanlorenzo – fuel-cell-powered yacht
-
SilverYachts – recyclable aluminium catamaran
This first edition firmly positioned Blue Wake as a reference for innovation and responsibility in the yachting sector, underlining the industry’s commitment to a more sustainable future.
The Monaco Yacht Summit: A Strategic Forum
The Monaco Yacht Summit once again proved essential for private clients and professionals navigating the complexities of yacht acquisition, charter, and ownership. The programme featured eight round tables co-hosted with Superyacht Times, an exclusive “Becoming an Owner” session with Spear’s Magazine, and 20 expert talks led by designers and Blue Wake exhibitors.
The day concluded with a special screening of Ocean with David Attenborough, attended by director Toby Nowlan, reinforcing the show’s connection between ocean preservation and the luxury yachting lifestyle.
A Showcase of Excellence on the Docks
The Dockside Area, the beating heart of the show, presented 120 superyachts, including 50 world premieres for 2025 and 20 new launches from 2024. With a combined value estimated at €4.3 billion (source: SuperYacht Times) and nearly 60% of the fleet less than two years old, the display underscored the show’s role as the stage for global debuts and cutting-edge innovation.
Complementing the fleet, thematic areas offered a complete immersion into yachting culture:
-
Upper Deck Lounge & Parvis Piscine – luxury interiors, bespoke design, and elite lifestyle products.
-
Quai Albert Ier & Darse Sud – refit shipyards, marinas, and onboard technology innovations.
-
Yacht Design & Innovation Hub – forward-looking concepts and immersive 3D experiences.
-
Adventure Area – 57 tenders, the latest water toys, and 23 luxury vehicles, reflecting the lifestyle dimension of yachting.
Tribute to Yachting: The Art of the Sea
Among this year’s cultural highlights was Tribute to Yachting, a photographic exhibition by Guillaume Plisson. Through 143 evocative images displayed throughout the show, Plisson captured the artistry, craftsmanship, and human stories behind the superyacht world, offering visitors a rare and emotional journey through the universe of yachting.
A Record-Defining Edition
With 29,956 visitors over four days, the Monaco Yacht Show once again confirmed its unrivalled standing. Exhibitors particularly praised the quality of private visitors, many of whom arrived with serious intent regarding acquisition or new-build projects.
“The 2025 Monaco Yacht Show has once again confirmed its unique role as the world’s essential annual gathering for large yachting, accompanying every stage of the yacht ownership journey,” said Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of MYS. “Each private visitor enjoyed a complete and immersive experience: discovering world premieres, meeting designers and shipyards, exploring technological and sustainable solutions, and refining the personalisation of their future yacht.”
Monaco: The World Capital of Yachting
This 34th edition not only showcased the industry’s most exceptional yachts but also highlighted the responsible technologies and practices shaping its future. For the Principality of Monaco, the show reaffirmed its role as the world capital of yachting and a strategic hub for the international superyacht community.
