Monte-Carlo Vermouth: A Fusion of Monaco’s Floral Elegance
A distinctive new spirit, Monte-Carlo Vermouth, has recently emerged in Monaco, featuring rose petals sourced from the Principality’s gardens as its key ingredient. Throughout the festive season, enthusiasts can indulge in tastings and acquire this unique Vermouth at the Chalet Monte-Carlo Vermouth, conveniently located just a few steps from the Casino.
While vermouth’s historical roots lie in Italy, with its inception dating back to the late 18th century, Monte-Carlo Vermouth employs a modern production process that combines cutting-edge technologies with the esteemed traditions of three different countries. Monaco provides the meticulously harvested roses, distillation occurs in Grasse, France, and wines from Piedmont, including UNESCO World Heritage-designated Moscato d’Asti DOCG and Langhe Nebbiolo DOC, are added, resulting in a distinctive aromatic profile. The exquisite bottle, adorned with a graceful rose, serves as a testament to the precious quality of its contents.

Through the transparent glass walls, Monte-Carlo Vermouth Bianco shines with gold and Monte-Carlo Vermouth Rosso with ruby-blush hue. Beyond color, these drinks offer distinct tastes, featuring notes of roses, fruits like grapefruit, tangerine, or melon, along with an array of spices and herbs, providing a captivating and compelling experience.
During the tasting sessions, you’re invited to unleash your imagination and oenology knowledge. Both Monte-Carlo Vermouth Bianco and Monte-Carlo Vermouth Rosso can take center stage in various cocktails or be savored on their own over ice. Additionally, at the Chalet, you can try a Vermouth and Prosecco cocktail recipe, easily replicable at home, accompanied by valuable insights into the production process.
Chalet Monte-Carlo Vermouth welcomes visitors until January 7, offering Monte-Carlo Vermouth Bianco or Rosso at 75 euros per bottle and a gift set at 245 euros.
