Pink Ribbon Monaco Gala 2024: A Night of Elegance and Empowerment
The Pink Ribbon Monaco Gala held on February 2nd, 2024, under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II and the Honorary Presidency of Princess Charlène, was a resounding success, marking a significant step forward in the fight against breast cancer. Hosted at the prestigious Salle Médecin in the iconic Casino de Monte-Carlo, the event was a testament to Monaco’s unwavering commitment to supporting breast cancer research and awareness.
Founded in 2011, Pink Ribbon Monaco is the first association in the region to mark breast cancer awareness month by illuminating buildings in pink. Led by Natasha Frost-Savio, Knight of the Order of Saint Charles by decision of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, the organization focuses on early detection and awareness through events like the Pink Ribbon Walk in February and the annual Pink Lights in October. Collaborating with the Princely government, National Council, Ministry of Health, and Princess Grace Hospital, Pink Ribbon Monaco is dedicated to enhancing gender equality and championing awareness, health, and unity for over a decade. As a member of the Comite for the Protection and Promotion of Women’s Rights (DFM), the association continues to make strides in its mission to save lives and empower individuals affected by breast cancer.

The gala, attended by nearly one hundred distinguished dignitaries, brought together individuals from various spheres of influence to support the crucial cause. With a blend of sophistication and purpose, the evening combined a gala dinner with a charitable auction, with all proceeds dedicated to research into lobular breast cancer at the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace.
The event was not only an opportunity to raise substantial funds for cutting-edge research but also served as a poignant reminder of the importance of combating breast cancer. Dr. Hugonnet’s pioneering work at the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace was highlighted, offering hope to countless individuals affected by this challenging illness.
Guests were treated to an evening of entertainment, including casino games such as Roulette and Black Jack, generously supported by sponsors such as Bougies Baobab, Chateau d’Esclans-Whispering Angel, and Oath Gin. The enchanting melodies of the Zhang Zhang Band, led by Monaco’s own Zhang Zhang, lead violinist of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic, set the tone for the festivities.

The highlight of the evening was the spirited auction, featuring exclusive items donated by luxury brands such as Vitale 1913, Segraetti, Toby Wright, Maison Trudon, Vindome, and World Class Gym. The auction not only showcased the generosity of the Monaco community but also underscored their unwavering commitment to supporting breast cancer research and awareness.
The culinary experience was nothing short of exquisite, with the Société des Bains de Mer’s top chefs delighting guests with a sumptuous three-course meal. As the night progressed, the dance floor became a symbol of solidarity, as guests came together to celebrate hope, unity, and progress in the fight against breast cancer.
The Pink Ribbon Monaco Gala epitomized elegance and grace, with individuals coming together with a shared commitment to creating positive change. As the curtains closed on this extraordinary evening, anticipation for the next highly anticipated gala in 2025 began to build, promising another unforgettable celebration of hope, unity, and progress.
