UPAINT Monaco Street Art Festival 2023
UPAINT Monaco 2023 street art festival starts today, on 4th June, and will feature the artworks for three days until the 7th of June at the Promenade Du Larvoto. This year, UPAINT showcases the work of an eclectic list of artists worldwide: Hama Woods, Iena Cruz, Lord Anthony Cahn, Lula Goce, Martin Whatson, Mon Devane, Mr. One Teas, Nils Inne, One Truth Bros, Rylsee, Stom500, and Woskerski. Also, the Festival will keep on raising funds for the FPA2 to fund one of its current environmental projects – RE.Generation is a program dedicated to empowering the leaders of tomorrow.
UPAINT, previously named the UPAW, festival has been held annually since 2017. The idea came to its founder, Alberto Colman, in 2013 after an event during which Mr. One Teas did a live art performance with his partner Los Gringos. Their performance sparked his interest, and since then, Alberto’s goal has been to create a truly unique event: a live performance of world-renowned street artists over multiple days showcasing their talents for the general public and creating a unique opportunity for art collectors.
At the end of the live performance, the art pieces are sold during a live auction curated by Hôtel des Ventes Monte-Carlo. In Monaco, the net proceeds of the auction go to the Fondation Prince Albert II, which goal is to fund projects to preserve our Planet for a better future.
UPAINT will travel with a mission to showcase the marvels of creativity of Urban Painters and give back to local communities in places around the world where street art is not necessarily recognized or supported.
