The Cannes Yachting Festival Is Back To Delight Fans of Leisure Boating Once Again

The annual Yachting Festival in Cannes is set to return this year with an impressive collection of over 700 boats ready to be displayed to guests from all over the world. The festival has been held in the Bay of Cannes every September since 1977 and is the 1st boat show in the sailing season, as well as Europe’s biggest in-water event.

Close to 54,000 visitors, 592 journalists and 610 exhibitors from almost every corner of the globe gather at this event every year to see both new and second-hand yachts and luxury boats, and this year is no exception. With an impressive array of luxury boats, ranging from powerboats to superyachts, this show is bound to impress everyone, from casual boat enthusiasts to yachting and marine technology experts. The breathtaking location and atmosphere of the festival transport you to an entirely different universe and show off the beauty, elegance and joy of the sailing lifestyle in Cannes.

From 12th of September until the 17th of September the Bay of Cannes is hosting the festival in two ports: the Vieux Port and Port Canto. Guests will not only be able to see the boats, they will also get to take the helm of the most outstanding ones during sea trials.

Visitors will also be able to see the latest innovations in marine technology, including new developments in equipment manufacturing, interior design and service companies at the Vieux Port. A new and especially exciting part of the program this year will be the Small Boat Area, an in-water section in the Vieux Port on the Pantiero, housing 8 to 11 metre motor boats.

Port Canto also delight its guests with a dedicated Sailing Area with its no.1 in the world fleet in the world for large sail boats, Brokerage Area with its selection of more than 45 second-hand 22-to-50 metre boats available for sale and rental, as well as a Toys Area, with an impressive display of increasingly popular equipment for board, fun and water activities. The exhibits range from super yachts and underwater scooters to hybrid boards that combine eFoil and eSurf technologies to give their users the best surfboarding experience.

Getting to the festival is easier than ever, with car parks, different modes of public transport and local airport close by.

The two ports are also connected by two maritime shuttles that transport visitors between the locations every 15 minutes. Every day 3 boarding lines leave Vieux Port from 10AM for the 2 spaces of Port Canto: 1 boarding line of small shuttles (12 people max), 1 boarding line of medium shuttles (between 70 and 100 people max) and 1 boarding line of large shuttles (between 100 and 200 people max).
