Quiet Strength, Timeless Design: Madalina Caminschi’s Vision
In December, during the Times Monaco event, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Madalina Caminschi, the visionary behind her own fashion house. Surrounded by an atmosphere that celebrates refinement, innovation, and international creativity, Madalina Caminschi stood out for her quiet yet powerful approach to modern luxury. Known for her architectural silhouettes and commitment to durability and craftsmanship, she shared with us the philosophy behind her brand, the influence of Milan on her journey, and her vision for the future of conscious fashion.
Your brand was born from the belief that fashion should go beyond aesthetics. What does “going beyond” mean to you on a personal and creative level?

You studied Business Administration before pursuing a Master’s in Fashion Design. How has this dual background shaped the way you approach building a fashion brand today?
Studying Business Administration gave me a strong strategic foundation, while my Master’s in Fashion Design allowed me to fully express my creative vision. This dual background shapes everything I do today: I approach creativity with structure and business with sensitivity. It allows me to build a brand that is emotionally driven but strategically solid—where creativity, sustainability, production, and long-term vision coexist in balance.
Milan played a pivotal role in your journey. How did living and studying in the city influence your design language and understanding of luxury?
Milan taught me discipline, precision, and respect for craftsmanship. Living and studying there immersed me in a culture where luxury is not about excess, but about quality, proportion, and heritage. Milan influenced my design language to become more refined, architectural, and conscious. It shaped my understanding of luxury as something quiet, intentional, and deeply rooted in savoir-faire.

Durability and refinement are core values of your brand. How do these principles translate into your choice of materials and craftsmanship?
Durability and refinement guide every material choice and production decision. I work with high-quality fabrics and trusted manufacturers, mainly in Italy, where craftsmanship is still deeply respected. Each garment is designed to last—both structurally and aesthetically. Refinement lies in the details: the cut, the stitching, the way a fabric moves on the body. Nothing is accidental.
In an era of fast fashion and constant trends, how do you remain true to your vision while staying relevant?
I remain true to my vision by designing timeless pieces rather than trend-driven ones. Trends can inspire, but they never dictate my collections. Staying relevant, for me, means listening to women and understanding how their lives evolve. When design is honest and well-executed, it naturally remains current.
Can you describe your creative process—from the first idea to the final piece?
My creative process starts with an emotion or a question—often linked to femininity, strength, or transformation. From there, I translate that concept into silhouettes, fabrics, and proportions. I sketch, drape, test, and refine repeatedly. The final piece only exists once it feels balanced, functional, and emotionally aligned with the original idea.

Who is the Madalina Caminschi woman, and how do you envision her wearing your designs in everyday life?
The Madalina Caminschi woman is confident, independent, and aware of her value. She doesn’t dress to impress others, but to express herself. She wears my designs effortlessly—at work, while traveling, during everyday moments—because they are made to empower her, not constrain her.
How do you see your brand evolving in the next five years?
In the next five years, I see the brand growing internationally while staying true to its core values. I envision a stronger presence in global fashion capitals, an expanded product range, and deeper engagement with craftsmanship and innovation. Growth, for me, is not about speed, but about building something enduring and meaningful.
