From Monaco to Andorra: A Cycling Challenge for a Cause
Philippe Choquet, an avid cyclist, is taking on an extraordinary challenge to support children battling rare liver diseases. From May 30 to June 1, 2025, Mr. Choquet will embark on a grueling 662-kilometer ultra-cycling trail with a staggering 7,270 meters of elevation gain, connecting Monaco to Andorra. His goal is to complete the route in under 36 hours.
This ambitious initiative aims to raise funds for Monaco Liver Disorder Association, a pioneering association devoted to supporting children with rare liver diseases. Mr. Choquet is actively seeking sponsors to support this charitable project, offering valuable visibility opportunities through equipment branding, press releases, and social media promotion. Contributions, whether financial or material, will play a crucial role in maximizing the impact of this noble cause.
About Monaco Liver Disorder
Founded in 2011, Monaco Liver Disorder stands as the only association in Monaco and France representing all rare liver diseases affecting children. The association, with Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco as its Honorary President, is committed to:
- Actively supporting medical research to combat severe and often fatal liver conditions.
- Raising awareness and advocating for organ donation.
- Enhancing pediatric hospital services.
- Providing assistance and support to affected families.
The significance of this cause is profound: 50% of liver transplants in children are performed due to liver-related conditions, making the liver the most transplanted and least understood organ. Alarmingly, one in every 2,500 children is born with a liver disorder, and over 150 rare hepatic diseases have been identified.
