What inspires you to write your books, and could you tell me about your research process? How much time do you typically spend on research before starting a new book?
My inspiration for writing comes from my experiences during travels, events, and interactions with people. I always keep a keen eye on current trends and try to understand what young people are seeking in today’s market. My goal is to create a unique book that appeals to both women and men.
Each of my books is distinctive, shaped by extensive research and interviews with various individuals. Sometimes an idea strikes me after months or even years of research. I work diligently to bring the book to life, sometimes pulling all-nighters over a two-week period. The final stages can be challenging, but I find ways to overcome obstacles and make the book a reality.
How did the experience of publishing your first book impact and change your approach to writing?
During my early career in publishing, I managed eight magazines, which was both fast-paced and stressful. However, I embraced the challenges and learned valuable skills that have shaped who I am today.
Over the years, I’ve understood the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone and pivoting when necessary. Comfort can hinder growth, and I believe true learning happens when we face discomfort and challenges head-on. My journey took me to different magazine publishing companies in Australia before working in London, which taught me the value of hard work and determination.
The experience of publishing my first book felt like a natural progression from the interviews I was already conducting on my website. Having worked on coffee table books for Harpers Bazaar and clients and producing a book on luxury hotels, it felt like a seamless transition. Seeing Good to Glow published in three languages and sold worldwide, even at Galleries Lafayette, instilled confidence in me to continue writing, earning the trust of women readers along the way.

Do you actively read your book reviews, and how do you handle both positive and negative feedback?
Feedback, both positive and negative, is essential for personal growth. Embracing our mistakes allows us to stay grounded and learn valuable lessons.
When it comes to maintaining and growing a digital audience, what would you say is the ideal balance between tech know-how, business acumen, creative inspiration, and luck?
Growing and maintaining a digital audience demands humility, creativity, consistency, and professionalism while staying true to oneself. Over the past decade, I’ve learned that sometimes simplicity is the key to uniqueness.
Looking back on the past year, what achievement are you most proud of?
In the past year, I’m incredibly proud of the way my children have grown and for the love and support of my family. It’s always exciting for me to release a new book such as Fashion Icons. It’s a unique opportunity and something that brings me great joy to have a platform that can give other women a voice. That can inspire and give hope to women when sometimes the road to success is not always clear.
Could you share some insights into your charitable activities and the causes you support?
Supporting charities is a cause close to my heart. I actively support charities aiding children in need, those with disabilities like deafness and blindness, women in poverty, wildlife conservation, and breast cancer.
